The Camanachd Association has appointed its first chaplain to the sport of shinty, at the Kyles Club in Argyllshire. It hopes the initiative will be of particular value at a time when suicide is the leading cause of death amongst young men in the Scottish Highlands and when the sport has been shocked by the deaths of a number of players who took their own lives.
